Signing in

There is no password. You use your phone number and a code we send you.

For Everybody

Go to the sign-in page

Open qwahabedi.co.za/portal/login — or tap Sign in at the top of any page.

Type your cellphone number

Any South African number works, written how you like: 082 000 0000, 0820000000 or +27 82 000 0000. We tidy it up.

Tap Send me a code.

Type in the code

A six-digit code arrives by SMS. It lasts ten minutes. Type it in and you are through.

If it does not arrive, wait a minute and ask for another. Asking twice in quick succession is refused on purpose — each code costs, and it stops somebody flooding your phone.

Tell us what you do

The first time you sign in you are asked what you do in the community: coach a team, organise a tournament, run a business, hold an office in your village — or nothing in particular, which is most people.

Answering does not give you anything on its own. Somebody phones you to check first, and only then is it added to your account. Nobody can talk their way into other people's content.

You can change your answer any time under Profile.

What you will see

The menu grows with what you do. A resident sees posts and Bana ba Motse. A coach sees teams and entries. A stand owner sees their orders on match day. One account, one sign-in, however many of those you are.

There is no password to forget. The code goes only to the number on your account, so nobody can sign in as you without your phone. If you change your number, email takedown@qwahabedi.co.za — we change it by hand on purpose, because a number is the only key to an account.
